Ever since apple launched the software update iOS 14.4 (about 3 years ago)

Customers have been confused about the new warnings that appear, if a non genuine part has been fitted to the device.

apple claim the warnings are there for safety reasons, however with warnings for replacement cameras and screens you cant see how that argument holds up.

Initially the warning was present if the phone had a battery fitted that wasn't a genuine apple and not fitted by an approved service centre.

So perhaps rightly so with the level of poor quality batteries available online and do your self tutorials the warning maybe just. However to extend the warnings to non genuine Screens and now cameras, many people in the business are questioning the motive.

Essentially apple want consumers to use not only genuine parts, but fitting must be carried out by accredited service centres, the downside to this is the cost

Most of apple genuine parts are twice the price of non genuine copy parts.

time2talk Swansea are an apple accredited repair centre and our website has both Genuine and non genuine screens available, both come with 12 Month warranty
